Adding value
New World Developments has simplified its procurement and ordering service and now offers a variety of useful tools to help add value to sales. One of its latest tools, designed to increase the likelihood of a sale from first contact with the customer, is the Door Builder program. This new PC based selling tool creates the house holder’s unique doorset, with an on-screen quote. A simple click/choice feature selects each aspect of the doorset, allowing home owners to ‘build’ a door to their exact requirements and budget. Reportedly more advanced than other software packages, Door Builder can be used to creatively assemble the ideal Kitemarked Apeer, Monno, and Diamond complete entrance systems.
In addition, to minimise lead times, New World also has an instant ordering system where orders and specifications are fed automatically into its production line and tracked in real time. A paperless operation, any inaccuracies are identified immediately, which prevents an incomplete order from being accepted by the system. This eliminates errors from the beginning and imposes a new discipline on both parties.
To help support fabricators, New World is also providing free, intensive training at the fabricators premises, backed with marketing materials, brochures, samples and a website.
