Business as usual for Epwin Glass

Despite recent reports suggesting a glass shortage in the UK that is threatening to affect the supply of IGUs to the industry, Epwin Glass has announced that it is very much ‘business as usual’.

Katrina Earl, Epwin Glass national sales manager, said: “We have got healthy stocks on all types of glass and are not experiencing the problems that seem to be affecting other suppliers.”

Epwin Glass says that it currently holds 145 glass types and has over 550 tonnes of glass in stock. The range is said to cover decorative, noise insulation, safety and security, self-cleaning, solar control and thermal insulation glass. All products are manufactured in the UK in Northampton and comply with relevant legislation and WERs and offer exceptional product quality.

The company adds that it is ‘committed to continuous improvement’ and recent investment has taken turnaround times, efficiency and productivity to a ‘whole new level’. According to Epwin Glass, it is the only glass business in the country that has a spare piece of machinery for every part of the process, which allows it to maintain a high level of customer service and reliability even when breakdowns occur.
