Profine Group has officially opened its new €500,000 Window Innovations Centre at the Pirmasens site, as the German PVC-U systems specialist looks to build on its product engineering pedigree through it’s KBE, Kömmerling and Trocal brands.

A wide range of product development and testing processes will be carried out in a 15,000ft2 area. This will include all activities related to the construction of prototypes, window and systems tests and the support for design and product development.

With ‘cutting-edge’ technology and equipment, the Window Innovations Centre has two test rigs for air, wind and water testing, a continuous function test rig as well as a separate climatic chamber.

“The Window Innovations Center is a further investment in the market success of our products. It will help us to implement the requirements of our customers even more quickly and at any time to develop the best possible solutions for the window industry” said Dr. Peter Mrosik, owner and CEO of Profine, during the opening ceremony.

Stefan Seidel, managing director of Profine UK, concluded: “It’s important for us to have these considerable resources at our disposal as we look to develop the latest innovations in PVC-U window and door technologies. With products such as the Secured by Design PremiLine PRO and the lift and slide PremiDoor 88, we believe we’re far ahead of our nearest competitors.”
