Swisspacer has extended its manufacturing plant in Gliwice, Poland, to meet strong demand for its warm edge spacer bar. In response to growing sales across Europe, Swisspacer has increased the total floorspace by 22,000ft2 to more than 60,000ft2.
The Gliwice factory opened in 2011. Over the past five years sales have grown significantly and the factory has more than doubled capacity to cope with demand. Swisspacer has two further manufacturing plants in Germany and Switzerland, all serving markets across Europe and worldwide.
Rutger van Eijk, Swisspacer head of sales Europe, said: “We’ve seen a huge increase in Swisspacer sales over the past five years – particularly in countries like the UK and Ireland where we are market leader – so we’ve expanded our Polish plant to increase capacity. As building regulations demand higher performance windows, more and more people are choosing Swisspacer because it offers excellent thermal performance and long-lasting results. Swisspacer is also ideal for triple glazing and is the most commonly used warm edge brand in Passivhaus installations.”
