Sales up at Tradelink
Trade supplier, Tradelink, has announced that sales of its Heatguard energy efficient sealed units are up 12% year on year, and in December alone they were up 49% compared with the same period the year before. Tradelink managing director, Jim Moody, explained: “December and January have obviously brought with them their usual set of disruptions and more! But the increase in sales we’ve seen shows installers armed with the right products are still selling windows.
“As fuel bills are on the up, particularly in light of the cold snap we’ve witnessed recently, consumers are even more interested to hear about energy efficient solutions.
We were the first company to achieve a double glazed A-rating in 2006 and today we are offering a B-rated window as standard with a cost effective A-rating also readily available to our customers. Having positioned ourselves as one of the fabricators leading the way with energy rated windows, we have witnessed first hand the market move from using window energy ratings (WERs) as a marketing tool, to supplying the pull through from the increasingly ‘green’ conscious home owner. With the proposed Building Regulations looking likely to use WERs as their only form of compliance, the trend can only continue.”
