GGF confirms speakers for members’ day

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) is pleased to announce its line-up of speakers for members’ day 2016, which takes place on Thursday 29 September at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

The guest speakers presenting will cover the economy, the political landscape, digital marketing, and architectural glazing. They include:

Declan Curry – international business journalist, public speaker and broadcaster

In a career spanning over 20 years, Declan is most renowned for fronting the BBC’s Business Breakfast and On the Money programmes.

Bruce Nicol – Business development director, Dow Corning

Operating for the global leaders in silicone technology, Bruce is responsible for raising awareness of the possibilities of high performance facade innovation and technologies to the architectural and engineering communities.

Graham Hansell – CIM digital marketing course director and MD, Sitelynx

A vastly experienced digital marketing strategist, consultant and trainer, Graham runs all the Chartered Institute of Marketing training courses on digital marketing specialising in search engine optimisation/marketing.

Ethan Spibey – Political analyst and adviser, GK Strategy

Working in the political strategy and intelligence division of GK Strategy, Ethan is instrumental in helping the GGF understand and engage with key policy makers, ministers and government departments.

Following discussions with the GGF marketing communications committee, the GGF says it has decided to change the format of members’ day to free up more networking and debating time at the chairmen’s forum. The itinerary for the day is as follows:

10.30: Registration/coffee reception/networking

11.30: Welcome

11.35: GGF Overview (direction, strategy and benefits)

12.00: GGF AGM

12.15: Two-course lunch

13.30: Keynote presentations

14.50: Chairman’s forum (Key topics debated with GGF chairmen and delegates)

15.25: Closing remarks

15.30: Networking drinks

The People in Glazing Society (PIGS) Birmingham Event is sponsored by the GGF and is one mile away from the venue at the Pitcher and Piano (B1 2HP). This event starts at 17.00 and all members are welcome to join the GGF for free drinks.

The GGF says it is ‘pulling out all the stops’ to make this members’ day ‘a very special occasion’ and all GGF members are invited free.
