42 T H E F I T S H O W P R E V I E W Universal Arches says it will be the leading representative of the bending sector at this years’ FIT Show and will be looking to entice visitors to the stand with a chance to win a latest generation iPad by way of sponsoring the lanyards with a key. Each visitor to the show will be given a lanyard which houses their respective badge on to which a Brisant key will be attached. This can then be used to attempt to open a Union Jack arched composite door on the stand – which this year will carry a distinct ‘Made in Britain’ theme. On the stand will be a variety of PVC-U frames, including a shaped heart, while taking centre stage will be a fully fabricated and welded Union Jack. Universal Arches says the sponsorship of the lanyards has worked incredibly well for the last two exhibitions, producing arguably the greatest footfall of any exhibitors at the FIT Show, with 1,736 in 2014 and 2,087 in 2013, as visitors came to the stand in an attempt to open an arched composite door. The Veka UK Group will be attending the FIT Show once again this year, and has announced a host of innovative new products and services to unveil. Rather than revelling in past successes, The Veka UK Group is always striving to maintain our position at the forefront of the industry. “Visitors to stand 150 will be able to explore the latest additions to the Imagine suite of products, the newest developments of the FlushSash range and a newly enhanced vertical slider. “Austin Greene and the Assure Team will be revealing some exciting certification news that should be of interest to all our fabricators. “The FIT Show provides a great platform for us to communicate with customers old and new, and I think we really have something for everyone at this year's stand!” Hardware pioneers to unveil new ideas Cotswold Architectural Products and Caldwell Hardware have announced they have joined forces to showcase new innovations to the UK market at the FIT Show. The show marks the first time the hardware experts have exhibited together, following the acquisition of Cotswold by Caldwell in 2014, and is the first time Caldwell has had a presence at the FIT Show. It is being seen as an opportunity for Cotswold and Caldwell to pioneer its new innovations, which are said to be the result of years of research and development. One of these is automated windows and doors, something that isn’t currently prevalent in the UK, but has the potential to be a lucrative growth market for manufacturers. Cotswold will also be showcasing its new dedicated solution for POV (parallel opening vents) on PVC-U windows, which it says will be a game changer for PVC-U fabricators involved in the conservatory, orangery and commercial sectors. Tim Ferkin, director of sales and marketing at Cotswold, commented: “We want to spread the message that we are the total hardware solution provider in the UK and the FIT Show offers an ideal platform to achieve but this year with a distinctive Made in Britain theme.
