58 T H E F I T S H O W P R E V I E W FIT Show Security breach at Titan’s Area 24 TV goes live Following recent reports of a strange glowing phenomenon at Titon’s manufacturing facilities, further details have finally come to light. Although the original whistle-blower has been uncontactable since the information was leaked in January, undercover investigations appear to reveal the truth… The mysterious ‘AREA 24’ appears to be Titon’s extensive hi-tech product development and testing laboratory – a unit which was established two years ago and has been fully operational for some time. The facility’s primary function is the testing and launching of hardware products to achieve PAS24 security levels on timber, PVCU and composite aluminium windows and doors. New sources reveal Titon has been inviting customers to visit ‘AREA 24’ to trial its hardware on their windows and doors to see if the combination of products will surpass PAS24 on specific profile designs. There are also reported to be durability and other testing capabilities available deep within the high security area, overseen by a vastly experienced team of technical experts. If this is indeed the case, the facility – combined with a surprisingly extensive range of hardware for windows and doors – Hat-trick for Flair Plastic Products Kömmerling manufacturer, Flair Plastic Products, will be exhibiting at the FIT Show for the third time in succession, as the Midlands based business looks set to continue its impressive growth with the launch of several new products. On display will be the lift and slide PremiDoor 88, which Kömmerling says is a direct competitor to a bi-folding door as it is capable of a 6.5m span with just two sashes, and provides 25% additional light and cleaner sightlines. According to Kömmerling, the most important product on its stand will be the UK exhibition premier of the Invisifold window and bifolding looks set to further strengthen Titon’s position within the industry. To silence the rumours surrounding ‘AREA 24’ once and for all, Titon has confirmed it will be demonstrating some of the product capabilities mentioned previously at the FIT Show. Visitors to stand 326 will have the opportunity to see www.ggpmag.com April 2016 door system. The patent pending Invisifold system is designed to convert standard welded windows and door frames into sliding/folding/swing systems. There are no visible hinges and no visible hardware, just a handle on the main door. By simply replacing the original gearing with the Invisifold components, says Kömmerling, an ‘incredible new world of possibilities opens up’. There will also be a Kömmerling O70 Gold window on display, along with a Smart Systems aluminium patio door. Collectively, these products will feature on the largest ever stand for Flair Plastic Products on stand 354 in hall 3. With the PremiDoor 88 and Invisifold system, behind the scenes and question the Titon personnel behind the development of the latest high quality security products. Visitors will need to keep their eyes peeled, before the company once again secures its hardware portfolio behind locked doors! www.titonarea24.co.uk Flair promises to demonstrate ‘considerable innovation’ with Kömmerling PVC-U profiles. Adrian Keegan, of Flair Plastic Products, said: “This will be our third FIT Show in succession and certainly our biggest commitment yet. With a number of new and innovative products on display we believe there’s something for all installation companies on our stand with the PremiDoor 88 and Invisifold system taking centre stage.” www.flairwindows.com Following the ‘huge popularity’ of FIT Show TV introduced at the last event, show organisers have announced that the broadcast teams will again be patrolling the aisles in the search for the ‘big’ stories at this year’s FIT Show. The interviewers will be talking to exhibitors and visitors throughout the event with the messages streamed live on the first two days, followed by recorded messages broadcast on day three. The broadcasts are available exclusively through the FIT Show website at www.fitshow.co.uk.
