Coleshill Windows choose Entrance West Midlands based Coleshill Windows & Doors, has recently added Entrance composite door solutions to its offer, which it says will provide customers with a ‘totally tailored’ composite door to match its Selecta Advance 70 profile PVC-U windows. General manager, Steve Hodgkins, said: “We have a reputation for an efficient and fast turn-around service, and with Entrance we can supply exactly what the customer wants – slab, hardware, design and glass, all in one package, which saves precious time.” Steve said he was also impressed by the quality of the product: “Entrance offers a better looking system, better glass and more bespoke items which can be added to the door – for example, better quality handles. It takes away the hassle and cost of keeping everything we need to make composite doors in stock. And the service is fantastic – we have formed an excellent relationship with them. I usually order by phone, but the online service is good too, and very easy to use.” www.entranceway.co.uk 69 D O O R S & COMMERCIAL ENTRANCES Designer Doors range launched Total Glass has launched its new ‘Designer Doors’ range of GRP composite doors, featuring 10 contemporary styles, plus a wide range of both standard and specialist colours. The company says that significant investment has also been made in more machinery and equipment to increase production capacity at its inhouse composite door manufacturing facility. Said to have been introduced in response to consistent customer feedback, the new range complements the existing Total Glass ‘Castle Collection’ of GRP composite doors. Phill Cresswell, sales and marketing manager, said: “It’s fair to say that our customers were ‘chomping at the bit’ to get their hands on these new doors. “We have added 13 different glazing panel designs, covering everything from the traditional to the contemporary, while some designs come in a choice of colours designed to complement the door colours and create a stylish matching finish. “The flexibility that in-house manufacturing affords us means that we can offer a huge choice so there is a door to suit all tastes and budgets. Stocking and routing our own slabs means we can offer a really fast service so customers are not kept waiting and doors are delivered when they need them.” Hardware for the ‘Designer Doors’ has been designed to reflect their modern look and feel with long pullbar handles and a choice of ‘escutcheon-style’ modern locking systems. A black ‘hammered-effect’ range ideal for traditional cottage door styles is offered, along with handles in a stainless steel finish suitable for modern properties. New retail brochures accompany the range and, as with the Castle Collection, Total Glass says there’s a similar ‘simple and competitive’ pricing structure. Investment includes a Schelling beam saw for precision-cutting of the door slabs and manual handling and lifting equipment for more efficient movement of the slabs between the prepping procedures. Both are reportedly helping to increase efficiency and improve Total’s composite door turnaround times for the benefit of customers. Phill said: “Composite doors are a very popular home improvement product. With the addition of our ‘Designer Doors’ range, we can offer even more choice that helps our customers meet the demands of this ever-growing market.” www.totalglass.com Solidor first to offer guarantee www.ggpmag.com April 2016 Solidor has announced that it is the first to offer Ultion’s free £1,000 guarantee. Launched by Brisant Secure, the maker of Ultion, the 10 year guarantee is now available to homeowners buying a Solidor composite door. Every Ultion key will have an attached key fob that explains the guarantee to the homeowner. If a homeowner is burgled as a result of their Ultion cylinder lock being snapped, they will get £1,000 compensation. All homeowners have to do is register their Ultion by completing a form on www.ultionlock. co.uk. The guarantee is completely free. Solidor’s CEO, Gareth Mobley, said: “We standardised on Ultion in January this year because Solidor is the most secure composite door and we know Ultion is the most secure cylinder there is. This powerful guarantee backs up Ultion’s claim and helps installers sell more doors. “With its laminated-hardwood timber core and Ultion, Solidor is the most secure composite door you can buy.” Solidor will be at the FIT Show in April, stand 110. www.solidor.co.uk
