Wintech launches new website Wintech Engineering, the UKAS accredited testing specialist, has recently launched a fresh new website to ‘suite in’ with the revised corporate image already featured in its brochures and social media presence. Mike Wass, technical director of Wintech Engineering, said: “We have been working hard behind the scenes to update our corporate image and create a suited set of marketing materials that better represents our business. The new website follows the recent addition of our brochures, both of which help companies understand the different tests necessary for their sector of the window, door, glass, facade and curtain walling industries while also detailing the tests Wintech can help them with. “Whether companies want their products tested to show how they differ from their 56 I T & S O F T WARE Solidor’s second cloud solution Solidor has launched its secondgeneration cloud service for online quoting and ordering. This second-generation solution has reportedly been developed to take customers ‘seamlessly’ from the point of quotation through to order and delivery with ‘100% efficiency and accuracy’. The new user interface to Solidor Cloud has been developed by The Consultancy and sits on a Business Micros Evolution platform for manufacturing and EvoNet business management solution. Customers are able to generate a quote and convert this into an order with a live tracking facility. Both existing and old orders can be called up within a single managed account. This is an important milestone, says Solidor, as it looks to deliver a complete ‘end to end business solution’ that will enhance its business efficiency and give network partners an ‘outstanding’ customer experience. Existing users of the first generation Cloud service will have their existing accounts transformed into the new solution. Joe Martoccia, MD of Solidor, said: “The second generation of Solidor Cloud offers a far better user experience, and also allows us to process a complete order electronically from confirmation to delivery. We’re investing heavily across the business at present and a strong IT infrastructure is pivotal to our future success. BM building on success Business Micros has announced an expansion at its Newton Le Willows sales and installation office as well as the recruitment of two new members to join its technical resource team. With orders reportedly up 28% compared to the same period last year, the software specialist says it is investing in the resources it needs to keep pace with such fast growing customer demand. www.ggpmag.com August 2015 “Our product is renowned for innovation, we want to match this with new, modern ways of doing business. I firmly believe we’re now taking our network partners on a journey to excellence across all facets of the business.” www.solidor.co.uk competitors or to prove they meet existing legislation, we can help customers ensure their products are truly fit for purpose. The aim of our new website is to better guide visitors through the various services we offer as well as the previous prestigious projects we have worked on. Additional features on the website include a brand new tab dedicated to certification, a service which we are excited to launch later in the year. This promises to be a very popular offering and anybody who would like to register their interest in advance can do so here. The site is also scattered with customer endorsements so potential customers can hear first-hand how they can benefit from working with Wintech. “Visitors to the site can also catch up with all the latest news from Wintech as well as download our brochure for more information.” www.wintechtesting.com Managing director, Graeme Bailey, said: “We’ve already expanded our office space in Newton Le Willows once since we moved into this building last year and now we’re expanding again with a new dedicated office for carrying out installations and a new area for training and presentations. “We’re also currently recruiting for an additional support technician and, for the first time, a field support programmer based here who can provide rapid bespoke software changes for customers using our EvoNet business management system. “We reached a major milestone recently with 75% of the 1,590 PVCU fabricators identified by the recent Insight Data report now using our software and more choosing us all the time, but the biggest growth is still coming from existing customers who want to expand their software capability. “We’ve already responded to that by restructuring our technical resource team to make our service faster and more flexible, and now we’re growing that team as well so that we can make sure we continue to provide the level of service which we know sets us apart from the competition.” As well as providing CNC links for the increasing number of customers who are investing in new machinery, the biggest growth area for Business Micros is said to be in its EvoNet business management software. The company says this is increasingly being chosen by fabricators who are themselves managing large scale expansion programmes because it effectively provides a ‘dashboard’ for them to monitor every aspect of their business and allows them to generate reports and analyses to support their business planning.
