FABRICAT O R & I N S TALLER WORLD Trade counter success Seven years ago, one-stop shop trade supplier, Truemans, decided to stop fabricating and buy its stock in. Five years ago, it switched its main supplier to Polyframe. The latest Insight Data Report states that some regional independents are seeing spectacular growth, without the need to fabricate, citing Truemans as proof. Now ordering 700+ PVC-U frames a week from Polyframe, Truemans claims to have seen significant and consistent growth through its network of trade counters. Managing director, Joe Trueman, commented: “Polyframe’s quick turnaround and consistently high quality products are a great help to our business. “We are able to be flexible with our customers, knowing that we can trust Polyframe to supply on time and in full regardless of volume. They have the capacity to fulfil our changing needs with ease.” Polyframe sales director, Peter Dyson, said: “Truemans is a positive example of a fabricator turned trade supplier gone well. It’s great that a partnership with Polyframe has supported, and will continue to support Trueman’s success and the changing needs that come with it.” www.polyframetrade.co.uk 77 The Window Company (Contracts) has expanded its fleet to 12 vehicles with three new liveried vans, sporting the distinctive The Window Company (Contracts) logo and new registration plates starting from W12 and ending NCO, taking to the roads of London and the South East. The company, which was named Installer of the Year at last year’s G-14 awards, is reportedly growing fast and has invested in the new vans to keep pace with its current expansion. Managing director, David Thornton, said: “The investment is in line with our commitment to setting the very highest standards in the industry. Smart, efficient and fully equipped, they are already on site at some of our largest commercial contracts for local authorities and social housing providers.” The company recently opened an extension to its Chelmsford head office and announced three new appointments as it continues to expand. www.thewinco.co.uk ‘Triple Bill’ open days Scheme gets thumbs up www.ggpmag.com August 2015 Synseal is inviting existing and prospective customers to attend one of its ‘Triple Bill’ open day training workshops. Its parent company is said to have been inundated with positive testimonials, praising Amy Grundy, national sales manager what approved installers, for the Approved Installer Scheme fabricators and suppliers have found to be the scheme's main benefits. Instantly meeting with widespread interest at its 2014 FIT Show launch, the approved installer scheme offers a package of support designed to promote and benefit businesses through their commitment to supplying high quality products from The Veka UK Group – the manufacturer of PVC-U window and door systems. Stephen Wild, director at Clitheroe Plastics, commented: “Being a Veka approved installer is a huge bonus when it comes to lead generation. Our whole team agrees on the positive impact that personalised marketing materials, created via the online marketing hub have had on the business. We're especially proud of our retail brochure and how clearly we're presented as having the support of The Veka UK Group. “The leads we receive from enquiries on the dedicated homeowner-facing website are indispensable. We know that customers want – and are expecting – to hear from us, so the conversion rates are fantastic. In the last two weeks alone we have received and won two jobs this way. I can't think of any way in which the approved installer scheme hasn't benefited our business.” www.vekauk.com/approvedinstaller
