The Blu HAB21 Offset ‘D’ commercial pull handle is said to be a ‘sleek, stylish’ handle designed to thrive in demanding commercial environments. Tony Chadwick, Trojan’s group managing director, said: “After 25 years, our passion and desire to offer the bestdesigned hardware products in the market remains as strong as ever. I’d like to thank all our staff, both past and present, our customers and our suppliers for their support over the past 25 years and say here’s to the next quarter century!” Solidor offers £5,000 guarantee www.ggpmag.com August 2017 While the company’s core mission may have stayed the same, in terms of its size, it has changed out of all recognition in the past 25 years. Today it has manufacturing bases in the UK, China and Vietnam and is one of the biggest names in door and window hardware. According to Trojan, it has reached its status thanks to products such as the Stallion 2 shootbolt, the Sparta 2 window handle and the Patriot Plus high security door hinge. It also claims that its ranges, such as the stainless steel product suite, have ‘revolutionised’ the door and window industry and given fabricators and installers solutions that add value to their businesses. Trojan says that its latest product developments, such as the Document Q-compliant TS008 Unicorn letterplate and the TS007 2* door handle, prove that its drive to deliver products that make a difference to its customers remains ‘undimmed’. Solidor has launched a new, 5 Star Security guarantee worth £5,000. Installers can now offer this guarantee to homeowners who buy a Solidor with a TS007 3* Ultion cylinder and 2* Lock Lock handle. According to Solidor, all homeowners have to do is register for the guarantee within 14 days of installation, and they’re covered for up to five years. “It’s a fail-safe, no quibble guarantee that totally removes the risk of purchase,” explained Gareth Busson, head of sales and marketing at Solidor. “If a burglar breaks into a Solidor with a Lock Lock handle and snaps the Ultion 3* cylinder, the homeowner can claim up to £5,000 of uninsured losses. No other door manufacturer offers that.” The Lock Lock handle from Brisant Secure was introduced to the market at the FIT Show, with Solidor as its official launch partner. Flick the switch on the inside and Lock Lock’s unique, patented spindle block is activated, so the door can’t be opened from the outside, even if the cylinder is breached. “It also looks fantastic, and complements our range perfectly,” added Gareth. “With the 3* Ultion cylinder PAS24:2016, Approved Document Q and SBD as standard, Solidor is already the most secure composite door on the market. Lock Lock sets us further ahead, and we’re putting our money where our mouth is by offering a guarantee that sells itself.” Window and door hardware specialist, Coastal Group, has launched its first Product Ordering Guide (POG). The new ‘handy’ sized product guide, has been designed to offer a quick and simple way to order from Coastal’s wide range of window and door hardware solutions. The guide features Coastal’s latest products including the ‘AV3’ self-activating multipoint locking system for front entrance doors; Hollodeen thresholds; the corrosion resistant Tricoat hardware range and Tempo Weatherseals by Deventer.
