20 In Brief P E O P L E • DW3 Products Group has appointed Gareth Busson to the new position of head of group marketing. Gareth will oversee and integrate the marketing for DW3 Products Group, Solidor, Residor, Residence Collection, and Window Widgets. Gareth joins DW3 with more than 20 years strategic marketing experience at companies including Winkhaus, Assa Abloy, Vax, and most recently Metsä Wood. • Profile 22 manufacturer, Kingfisher uPVC Windows and Doors, has appointed Nick Hibberd as sales and marketing manager. Managing director, Neil Webster said: “We were looking for someone with all-round sales and marketing experience who had the capability and motivation to drive the business forward. “Nick’s initial focus is to develop our trade sales business, pushing Profile 22’s new Optima range of flush fitting casement and tilt and turn windows to a new audience throughout the Yorkshire region.” New directors welcomed Alistair Wheeler and Steve Muryani have joined hardware specialist, Caldwell UK, as national sales managers. Both Alistair and Steve are said to have ‘vast experience’ in the industry, with Alistair previously working at Siegenia and Steve at GU Hardware. Elsewhere at Caldwell, Alan Hartley, who has been at the company for more than 10 years, takes on a new role as strategic accounts manager, while Luz Seminario becomes export sales manager. Leigh Bosley will continue in his role of sales executive as the business looks to scale up its UK operations. David Walker, managing director of Caldwell, commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Alistair and Steve to the team. “It is also encouraging to see existing members of the team progress into new roles and these developments will ensure everything is in place to begin the next chapter of our growth.” • Global testing company Exova has appointed John Stevenson as operations and business development director for its Fire, Building Products and Certification (FBP&C) business. For the last 15 years, John has been managing director for Cape and then Promat, as part of the Etex Group. The Veka UK Group has welcomed two new directors: Dawn Stockell, marketing director and Neil Evans, sales director. New to the fenestration industry, Dawn comes from the electronics sector, most recently holding the position of head of brand – Northern Europe at LG Electronics. Neil joins The Veka UK Group from within the fenestration industry, having been sales director at Velux for the past decade. Dawn said: “Veka stood out as both a global and UK leader with a true ‘think global, act local’ approach to business. “I’ve already been made to feel very welcome and I’m looking forward to working with the team, to meet some challenging targets in the coming year.” Neil said: “I’ve been involved in quite a few things including procurement, project management, running a large call centre, developing sales strategies, defining standards, working with lean in sales and customer service and developing an industry leading sales team. I’m sure that most of that should come in handy! “I’m excited to take the opportunity to influence positive change through our team and for our customers. “As well as the responsibilities that come as being a member of the board of directors, primarily I will be responsible for the field and officebased sales team, plus customer services, ensuring that our approach is progressive and that we can identify and support growth opportunities in the market.” MD, Dave Jones, was happy to welcome Dawn and Neil to the team: “I’m very pleased to introduce our newest directors. “The interview process was not a simple one, and with so many talented candidates it was naturally very competitive. “I’m delighted that we have selected the ‘cream of the crop’ for the marketing and sales directors’ roles and I’ll look forward to working alongside Dawn and Neil in the years to come.” Two new Commercial department strengthened Fabricator Dudley’s Aluminium has strengthened its commercial department by hiring two new faces. Callum Scott (25) has joined the company as a trainee sales support assistant and will work with Dudley’s sales team to help secure new client projects and support existing customers. Callum said: “I am excited to be a part of the Dudley’s team. This is a great opportunity for me to continue my career development and receive training from experienced professionals within the commercial department. Dudley’s is certainly moving in the right direction and I am excited to be a part of it and look forward to being involved with our Callum Scott Ben Leonard current and future projects.” Ben Leonard (31) has also joined the company as an estimator and will work closely with supply chain partners to support client projects. Ben said: “I am very happy for this opportunity to be working for Dudley’s Aluminium.
