Senior appointments Marketing Network Veka's self-certification and Competent Persons Scheme Assure, continues to grow with the appointment of Maxine Taylor. Maxine, who joins Assure from Calrec Audio has been recruited to provide administrative support to technical and compliance manager, Austin Greene. Maxine said: “I'm thrilled to be working for Assure and can already see what a positive impact the organisation has, both for homeowners and installers. Everybody's made me very welcome and I already feel part of the team. I'm looking forward to meeting the installers whose applications I deal with on a daily basis.” 18 PEOPLE Management’s fab four www.ggp.com January 2015 promotion KAT has made two senior appointments in order to ‘strengthen the company management team and help deliver a comprehensive product development plan’. Chris Powell (pictured above, left), previously sales director at Epwin Group Window Systems, has joined as commercial director. Chris, who will be responsible for sales, marketing and commercial activity, said: “KAT is a unique and exceptionally well-respected brand and now manufactures specialist glazing products in all three major materials; aluminium, timber and PVC-U. I am delighted to be joining at such an exciting time.” Paul Balfe (pictured above, right) has joined as technical director. His role is to identify new specialist glazing applications and ensure the timely launch of new products. Paul, who is described as having ‘a wealth of technical experience’, including 15 years at Spectus Systems, returns to KAT after leaving to establish Merlin Doors. Paul said: “KAT UK is a tremendously vibrant company with well-motivated individuals and it was an easy decision to return. We have a number of significant product launches planned.” The LiSEC Group has reduced the size of its management team to four people from six, in a move to ‘increase flexibility’ and ‘adjust to the size of the company’. The new management quartet consists of Othmar Sailer (chief executive officer), Peter Holzinger (chief sales officer), Anton Walser (chief technical officer), and Werner Mihatsch (chief financial officer). Peter Holzinger (48) started his career at LiSEC in 1998 in the sales department and has been responsible for sales since 2011. Anton Walser (48) studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Vienna and is responsible for the areas of innovation, product management and development within the management team at LiSEC. Since July, he has also been responsible for production and procurement. Werner Mihatsch came to LiSEC in 2011 and has been active since 2013 as CFO for the financial affairs of the group. Mihatsch gained initial experience with Ferroglas and then developed the corporate accounting structure for HTI AG. Clare Crockett has been promoted to marketing manager at Carl F Groupco. She moves from the position of marketing executive. Having started work for Carl F, which became Carl F Groupco, as marketing assistant in 2008, Clare has risen up the ranks of the company’s management team. Her qualifications include a BA degree in marketing management. Since joining the company, Clare has been responsible for heading up marketing initiatives including the launch of Carl F Groupco, evolution of the organisation’s 225-page catalogue and web development. Maxine joins The new management team of the LiSEC Group: Werner Mihatsch (CFO), Anton Walser (CTO), Othmar Sailer (CEO) and Peter Holzinger (CSO) ‘Family’ return Systems supplier, The Veka UK Group, has appointed a new national sales manager for Bowater Doors. With 27 years of experience in the PVC-U extrusion and timber window sector, Alan Hague has worked for a number of companies in the window and doors industry. Alan said: “I actually worked at Halo for five years very early in my career and I'm thrilled to be returning to the 'Veka family' with more experience, more contacts and more in-depth industry knowledge.” ‘Fresh perspective’ Gary Kempster has joined manufacturer of doors, windows, conservatories and sealed units, Tradelink Direct, as IT manager. Jim Moody, MD of Tradelink, said: “Gary has made a significant impact on Tradelink’s business already. One of the first things he did was conduct a comprehensive staff survey to establish where everyone’s frustrations with IT lie, so he could set about making their lives easier. “Gary clearly has experience that we can benefit from and a completely fresh perspective on the way we have always done things in the window industry.”
