GGP January 2015

Steve Haines, sales and commercial directer, Stuga has been right up there with plenty of smiles which is great to see and enjoy. Interestingly, more companies are pushing up volumes of composite doors, bi-folds and ‘VS’ windows creating a demand for automated sawing and machining where the Stuga AutoFlow-2VS sells well. In the machinery business, everyone is hoping for confidence to remain high in the country as a whole because it is confidence that brings much needed investment. Hopefully, government incentives will continue such as favourable capital allowances and the Regional Growth Fund which have both been very helpful for fabricators wishing to invest. Martin Dickie, business unit director, Door-Stop David Firmager, managing director, TruFrame Undoubtedly, 2015 will be an important and defining year for the double glazing industry, which will be influenced by the May general election to a degree, yet there’s an underlying increase in consumer confidence that we’ve already experienced in 2014. I fully expect this to continue with spending on The weekly e-zine for the glass and glazing industry. Big names have changed hands. IG was bought by the Herman Group, Masterdor by Synseal, and Door- Stop by Masonite International If 2014 is anything to go by, 2015 is set to be an exciting year for the whole window sector. It feels like most fabricators are very busy and this is creating work for all other sectors of the industry. At recent industry functions the buzz big ticket items set to rise. However, installation companies must look towards better equipped partners and ones which are not afraid to commit to investment and new product development. Our experience shows that our unique hand finished frames are valued by our customers and the discerning homeowner and this premise will be further highlighted, in what will be the biggest year for TruFrame for product launches in the last decade. The year will be undeniably prosperous and rewarding for those companies who invest and effectively promote some of the exciting new developments that will come to the fore in the industry. www.ggpbullseye.com FROM THE PUBLISHERS OF 24 NEW YEAR MESSAGES
