New sales
& marketing
co-ordinator
A new sales and marketing
co-ordinator is aiming to
‘boost sales and accelerate
growth’ at machinery
manufacturer, Elumatec.
Cran eld School of
Management-graduate,
Melissa Giannotti, joins the
company’s senior team from a
major international retailer.
According to Elumatec,
Melissa re ects the
‘international spirit’ of parent
company, Voilap Holding,
which claims to be a leader
in the design, production and
distribution of technologies for
the machining of aluminium,
PVC and steel pro les.
Melissa is reported to bring
extensive experience of
B2B sales and marketing
knowledge, along with a
track-record of meeting
demanding targets in a
fast-paced commercial
environment.
“I’m delighted to be joining
such a cosmopolitan
corporation at an exciting time
in the company’s history,”
Melissa said. “Elumatec
means innovation, traditions
and commitment toward
customers and I’m proud to be
part of this.
“Elumatec is a company
which embraces change with
a dynamic attitude, down-toearth
spirit and commitment
to deliver the best,” Melissa
continued. “I’ll be seeking
to promote not just our
machinery products, but I’ll
mainly preserve and promote
our identity, to give customers
that feeling of integrity
they expect from a worldclass
provider of machining
products.”
Having invested in a Graf Synergy
SL4FF seamless corner welder from
the Promac Group at the end of
2017, Unique Window Systems has
placed an order for a second SL4FFEvo,
further increasing its capacity.
Atul Patel, joint managing director
of Unique Window Systems, said
machinery investment formed a key
element of the company’s growth
strategy; delivering effi ciencies and
volume, whilst guaranteeing product
quality.
He said: “Our growth has been
underpinned by our commitment
to product quality and service. You
can’t deliver that at volume without
investment in machinery.
“The outputs and the quality of
product that we have been able to
deliver through the SL4FF, have
been critical to our growth. We have
volume, but we have exceptional
quality.
“Forecast demand for premium
products, particularly foils, but also
WarmCore, have driven our decision
to expand that capacity still further
as part of our long-term strategy.”
In addition to WarmCore,
Unique’s other premium offering
is Eurocell’s Modus fl ush casement
system. Unique employs its existing
Graf to support its customers in
pitching this high-end offer against
other top end systems, including R9.
“You’re getting an exceptional
fi nish on a foil”, continued Atul, “it
generates a sales platform at point
of retail, allowing our customers to
up-sell Modus against R9, on the
strength of the seamless weld.”
The SL4FF and updated SL4FFEvo
both employ an on-board
control system and CAD Scan
software, which maps the profi le
chamber confi guration directly from
a standard photocopier scanner.
According to Promac, the SL4FF
not only delivers a better-quality
product but can also deliver a
twofold increase in productivity
compared to other traditional
manufacturing processes. This is in
part because the SL4FF eliminates
any requirement for cooling tables
and corner cleaning, also giving it a
space-saving footprint of just 25m2.
The machinery platform is selfcontained
with installed extraction
and automatic heater plate cleaning,
reducing downtime for any manual
intervention. For maintenance and
service, the SL4 FF is also equipped
with on board self-diagnostic
software and can be accessed via
remote support.
Joe Hague, managing director,
Promac Group, said: “The SL4FF
has delivered a step change in
manufacture. As one of the most
innovative platforms to be launched
in the UK in a decade or more, it
delivers exceptional precision in
manufacture over and over again,
giving you volume and outstanding
quality.
“The SL4FF-Evo has been refi ned
again, accommodating even greater
tolerances to bring even more
precision to manufacture.
“Unique’s decision to invest in
a second platform is testimony to
the quality and effi ciencies that it
delivers.”

West Midlands fabricator, Central
RPL, has recently invested in a
heritage machinery package from
Haffner Murat.
Gary Morton, managing director
of Central RPL, said: “The heritage
market is one of the biggest growth
areas at the moment. Haffner
Murat’s heritage machinery package
allows us to help our customers tap
into this demand as well as deliver
the quality we’re renowned for.”
The heritage machinery package
includes a specialist milling
station that mills two joints in one
operation. The 45 degree and 90
degree milling and sawblade cutting
is carried out in one pass for the
butt joint fi nish of the outer face.
The milling station has three servo
motors to ensure greater accuracy
of the fi nal position. According
to Central RPL, the fast operation
ensures increased output and greater
effi ciency on the shop fl oor.
The package also includes a
KC258/HL two head corner welder
that recreates the traditional
mechanical butt joint on the welded
corner and creates an internal weld
that enhances the overall appearance
of fl ush sash windows. Amongst
many other features designed to
improve quality and effi ciency
there are dedicated contour blocks
to ensure accurate welding and a
dedicated setting plate for butt joint
location.
