Art Deco glass range Beautiful
commented: “At the same time as the
launch of our Jo Downs Collection
we’ve also introduced an Art Deco
range of glass options which we
have designed in house and, as a
result, are Solidor exclusives. We
continue to invest in new products
that further set us apart and also in
the way in which we promote the
Solidor brand.
“These new glass designs will
inspire consumers and help generate
better margins. They will also
be on show at the FIT Show, so
everyone can see the real point of
differentiation and quality of these
distinctive and exclusive glass units.”

Liniar launches
new ush sash
window
Liniar has launched
Resurgence, a PVC-U ush
sash that features a 70mm
sash within an 80mm frame,
ready for triple glazing.
With ‘A+’ WER ratings and
1.2 ‘U’ Values, Resurgence
is designed to look like a
traditional timber window,
while also delivering
low maintenance and
excellent energy ef ciency.
Resurgence is said to be
perfect for period, as well as
new build properties.
The new ush sash includes
features such as a doublerebated
seal that Liniar has
combined with its patented
co-extruded bubble gasket.
According to Liniar,
Resurgence boasts a ush
exterior, offering clean
lines and the ability to be
fully foiled in glazing areas,
including the outer frame
and transoms. This process
allows the window to provide
a more authentic appearance,
mimicking a timber window,
but with the energy and
security bene ts of PVCU.
The Resurgence ush
sash is available welded or
fully mechanically-jointed
from a limited number of
fabricators – and for property
owners that are looking for
something extra special,
Resurgence is also suited for
the ‘Timberweld’ process.
Resurgence comes with
PAS24, Secured by Design
and Part Q security
accreditations.
Designed to fully colour
match the rest of the Liniar
suite of windows, bi-fold
doors, patio and French doors
and conservatory or lantern
roofs, Resurgence ush sash
windows come in a wide
choice of colours from stock,
as well as other colours on
longer lead times.
In addition to its new handmade Jo
Downs Glass Collection, Solidor has
launched an exclusive Art Deco glass
range that’s been inspired by the
architectural infl uences of the early
20th Century.
According to Solidor, this new
glass range will provide trade
partners with a genuine point of
differentiation, something that will
also resonate with style conscious
consumers looking for a unique
new entrance door. There are four
different glass designs in this
new range, namely Fairmount,
Paramount, Tate and Wiltern that
are available in the Flint 4, Ludlow
2 and Beeston door designs from
Solidor.
There is also a further glass design
which is a combination of an Art
Deco unit with Jo Downs handmade
tiles fi tted, called ‘Vogue’. All of the
new glass options and ranges can be
viewed on Solidor’s door designer
and are also available through the
online ordering portal of Solidor
Cloud 2.0, which now offers order
tracking.
Gareth Busson, head of sales
and marketing for Solidor Group,
Brisant Secure says that its new
Ultion website offers a ‘beautiful,
engaging experience’ and has been
launched with a unique product
presentation page for customers with
Ultion On Your Site.
Ultion On Your Site can be
integrated on to any website from a
selection of banner links.
One of the fi rst companies to
adopt this marketing presentation
was Porta-Dors. Managing director,
Theresa Dyer, commented: “Ultion
On Your Site was so easy to
incorporate within our website, that
I did it myself on fi ve different pages.
“The result is that our customers
are fully informed about the
performance of Ultion vs other
cylinders, as we’re selling both a
door and the perceived security
that goes with it. Now over 90% of
customers opt for Ultion, with the
expectation to get this close to 100%
in the coming months.”
With a reported 17,000 unique
visitors to the Ultion website per
month, Brisant has added the facility
for homeowners to search for local
Ultion door installers. There are also
a number of videos throughout the
site, along with a webshop offering
additional keys, padlocks, KeyRing,
KeyCap, and a lock lubricant.
Nick Dutton, CEO of Brisant
Secure, commented: “The new
website is beautifully presented
with an installer search facility. But
the true power, as Porta-Dors have
experienced, is Ultion On Your Site.
It’s dedicated product page for our
customers and it’s a proposition that
we have expanded upon with Sweet
On Your Site for our door furniture
range.”

Ahead of the curve
Force 8 has added a new composite
door to its two-tone contemporary
collection with the addition of the
new Geneva design.
The seamless double grooved
curved design is available in any
RAL colour. Force 8 claims to be the
only composite door manufacturer
to offer a dual colour design.
Available in a smooth aluminium
look fi nish, the new door also boasts
a three-latch system to help combat
any problems with bowing during
seasonal temperatures. It also has a
unique paint fi nish specially adapted
for Force 8, which helps to thermally
protect the door to further enhance
its stability.
“What is not featured in the
specifi cation is the 30 years of
knowledge which has gone into
the Geneva,” said Dennis Sumner,
managing director. “As a company
we are in a unique position, as
we still have an installation team
locally. Any issues regarding fi tting
or further remedial work is directed
straight back to our manufacturing
department, enabling us to innovate
and fi ne-tune our designs. This gives
us a distinct advantage over other
manufacturers, as we can fi t and test
our designs in real life situations”.
