The GGF is looking for a Senior Technical O cer and a Technical O cer to join its team of technical experts. As
the industry authority, the GGF promotes best practice and sets the highest technical standards.
Our technical team provides expert technical advice and guidance to our members as well as o er a range of
services to the wider industry through our Technical Consultancy.
Senior Technical (Full time/ London, SE1)
As Senior Technical O cer, you will be responsible for leading the day to day operations of the technical department
in support of the Director of Technical A airs. In addition, you will:
• take control of critical technical support instances and establish processes to manage and resolve issues as
soon as possible.
• lead on industry consultations and formulate responses.
• build and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders and all group business functions to ensure
e ective co-operation and communication.
You will have:
• extensive working knowledge of commercial and domestic glass and fenestration industries.
• expert knowledge of relevant technical standards.
• previous management/leadership experience.
• experience of managing, directing and motivating sta to achieve individual and departmental goals with
stretching scope.
Technical O cer (Full time/ London, SE1)
As a technical o cer, you will provide expert technical support to GGF members and the general public including:
• undertaking site inspections.
• reviewing and updating technical datasheets and other GGF publications.
• undertaking consultancy work on behalf of the Federation.
• providing secretarial support and facilitate specialist technical group meetings.
• representing the interests of GGF members in external forums.
You will have:
• expert working knowledge of relevant technical standards and building regulations.
• previous experience in manufacturing or testing window and door systems.
• previous experience in the window door and framing sector.
• previous experience in providing expert technical advice and guidance to clients, consumers, stakeholders
and external agencies such as local and central government departments.
• previous experience in investigating problems with window and door and curtain walling systems in use and
presenting nding and recommendations in appropriate format.
