We think 2020

window and door system.
Most of us hear the word ‘new’ and scale back our expectations
because most ‘new’ products in the industry are not that new.
‘Innovative’ aluminium window systems are mostly disappointing
because there’s been almost no innovation in the last 30 years.
We are used to real innovation in other sectors, in smartphones
for example, but not in aluminium windows. However, people
who’ve seen Sheerline Classic and Sheerline Prestige say they
are extremely innovative and exciting. They say they’re really
significant leaps forward, and fabricators are queuing to be one of
the first to sell them at the end of Q1 2020.
That’s why we’re inviting fabricators who are interested to
visit our state-of-the-art factory, meet our top team, and hear
about our design philosophy and radically new approach. But
don’t take my word: visit www.sheerline.com now, sign up for an
ambassador workshop and make up your own mind.
It is with a sigh of relief that we
move into 2020 knowing that the
UK should be moving into a time of
political and economic stability. It feels like
a long time since we had a country that could make decisions
and get on with it. It is always particularly frustrating for
privately owned businesses who survive by their quick reaction
times and their dedication to getting stuff done.
Unlike our MPs, Brisant was making decisions and acting on
them last year. We continued to develop and invest in our door
furniture system, Sweet, that will protect homeowners from the
ever-extreme changes in the climate.
Our research and development team has been working hard
to produce a door hardware system that will stand up to extreme
weather. Sweet is an edgeless, long lasting, pit-free beautiful
hardware system for any door.
It now comprises of two types of handle, including the patented
secure Lock Lock, two shapes of letterplate, rounded, screw-less
numerals and a new two-part knocker. In 2018, we announced that
the Sweet handle achieved an inconceivable 8,000+ hours in a salt
spray chamber, an incredible 30 times longer than required for the
EN 1906:2012 240-hour corrosion standard. Now it’s time for the
letterplate.
move into 2020”
During all of 2019, while the politicians fell out, we had a Sweet
letterplate sprayed with saltwater. It’s been in for 7,000 hours and is
still going strong. Whilst others have sought to hit the extended 480
hours standard, we’re hoping for a year. That’s 8,760 hours!
Everything starts at home. The last thing anyone wants is for their
home to be attacked, whether that is from a burglar or the weather.
Brisant takes weather protection as seriously as we take burglary
protection.
From 2020, we will offer a 20 year direct to homeowner corrosion
guarantee on Sweet hardware. That will be for all the traditional
colours along with the addition on the on-trend rose gold. On a
zinc base, coated with two layers of copper, two layers of nickel, one
of chrome and one of PVD – it has six layers of armour against the
biting wind and rain. Brisant offers peace of mind, for 20 years, that
their Sweet door furniture will be working and looking sweet for the
next 20 years.
We aim to be at the forefront of development, whether that
is keeping door furniture looking great against extreme weather
conditions or staying on-trend with the launch of the new Rose
Gold. We are delighted with how good it looks and how well it is
performing. We listened to our customers to produce an additional
letterplate shape and a two-part knocker. We couldn’t be more
pleased with the result. In 2020 we offer homeowners a guaranteed
20 year of weather resistant door furniture.
