Imagine the best VS
Premium glass processor and
manufacturer, Gx Glass, has
introduced its new printed glass
visualiser. The tool allows interior
designers and installers to visualise
a range of ‘on-trend’ pre-set ceramic
printed glass designs in a range of
applications from splashbacks, to
shower screens, to wall cladding.
Designed as a cost-effective
reference tool for interior designers
and installers, the visualiser shows
a range of glass uses – splashback,
wall cladding, shower door, doors,
partition and balustrade. With over
70 ceramic printed designs available
in a variety of styles such as stone,
texture, illustration and gradients,
users can quickly view or show
clients a range of design options
without the need for costly mockups.
The visualiser has been created
to demonstrate the versatility of
Gx Glass’ CeramX Digital printing
process – the company’s digitally
printed glass that has the longevity
and quality which goes hand in
hand with ceramic inks. The printing
technology reproduces photo
realistic detail that can replicate
textures such as wood grains, metal
meshes, marble and stone for a
more cost-effective alternative to the
original materials.
Joanna Lush, business
development manager at Gx
Glass, said: “The visualiser allows
interior designers and installers to
quickly view everything from faux
materials such as printed marble for
splashbacks, illustrations for use on
balustrades, and varying gradients or
opacities for shower screens, without
the need for physical samples at the
early stages of design.

Following a record 2019, industry
finance specialist, Improveasy, is
preparing for another busy year as
more installers get ‘finance ready’
for 2020.
In a remarkable year, Improveasy
says it helped hundreds of installers
and home improvement companies
consistently write millions of
pounds of finance every month.
The demand among consumers
and installers for flexible finance
packages reportedly helped
Improveasy grow by 138% in 2019.
Improveasy says it has big plans
and new initiatives to help installers
get finance ready for January and
the lucrative spring season. Along
with continued support for its
popular 0% APR and ‘Buy Now Pay
Later’ packages, Improveasy will be
launching new services including
9.9% APR, ‘Buy Now Pay in 2021’
and subprime lending.
Adrian Hicks, senior account
manager at Improveasy, said:
“Without question, 2019 has
been the biggest and best year in
company history with incredible
growth at Improveasy and across our
nationwide network of installers.
“In spite of tough market
conditions and both political and
economic uncertainty, finance
has proven to be a transformative
tool, helping hundreds of installers
accelerate their sales and answer the
buying habits of today’s consumer.
With uncertainty set to continue
throughout 2020, now is the time for
installers to get finance ready.
“Improveasy is ready for the
January rush, followed by the
lucrative spring season. January
2020 is forecast to obliterate all of
Improveasy’s previous records with
spending trends on an aggressive
hike in a very clear direction.”
Endurance Doors has launched
a range of perfectly matching
finishing trims, alongside one of its
solid timber core composite doors.
Through the online door designer,
customers also have the opportunity
to add these finishing trims that
have already been cut down to a
2.3m size to their order.
Endurance says that the addition
of these coloured matched trims is
a major plus for installers, as these
products have been cut down to
size for a small van and are colour
matched, so there’s no need to
source full sized packs through their
respective local plastics stockist. The
profiles include 25mm ‘D’, 45mm
flat, 65mm flat, 20mm square and a
17.5mm quadrant with no minimum
order quantity and these products
are also available on short lead
times.
The trim packs are available in
16 colours including elephant grey,
anthracite grey, pearl grey, Chartwell
green, cream, French navy, racing
green, rich red, raven black, schwarz
braun, golden oak, Irish oak, walnut,
rosewood, mahogany and white.
Endurance adds that a number
of preferred installers are already
starting to take up the packs, which
also help them manage stocks of
various trims and colours, so they
have just enough product for each
job and in doing so helping to cut
down waste.
Stephen Nadin, managing director
of Endurance Doors, commented:
“Given the resources of us as Rocal
Group, we have both in-house
extrusion and foil wrapping and
so we decided to harness this with
the launch of our finishing packs. It
makes the job of the trade far easier,
reduces unwanted travel time to a
local plastics stockist and reduces
waste, so there’s an environmental
benefit too!”

of PVC-U products with the
introduction of the new Imagine
vertical sliding sash from Veka.
Richard Lee, PVC-U category
director at Polyframe, said: “Vertical
sliders now account for around 10%
of the market, with share increasing
year on year. We’re very pleased
to add the Veka Imagine VS to our
range – it’s the best vertical slider
out there as it captures all of the
key design features of a traditional
timber window, combined with the
practicality and performance of a
modern PVC-U window.
“We’ve had great feedback from
our customers so far and they are
telling us it’s easy to quote, easy to
sell and really easy to fit”.
The Imagine vertical slider is
available in a range of eight colours
