JUSTIN HUNTER NEW MD FOR ALUK IN BRIEF
July www.ggpmag.com
• Business Micros has
announced the appointment
of Dave Boaler as an
additional software
technician.
Dave was previously a
manufacturing software
engineer at Aperture/Synseal
and is said to have many
years’ experience with the
Business Micros range of
products.
Working remotely while
the current restrictions are in
place, Dave is already busy
helping Business Micros
customers with queries on
Evolution and EvoNET and
arranging installations.
He is working directly with
Business Micros’ installations
manager, David Stockwell,
and renewing the longstanding
partnership which
existed when Dave was a
customer at Synseal.
A key part of Dave’s role
will be to work on creating
and updating the profile and
component datasets which
underpin the next generation
Touch software platform
which Business Micros
launched in June. He said:
“Touch is the most exciting
thing to happen in the
software market for years, so
I’m really excited to be a part
of it right from the start. I
built many of our own
datasets at Synseal and know
exactly how important the
right data is in this industry
to the overall efficiency of
any software. I can’t wait to
start helping customers
install the Touch Portal and
Touch Business products.”
Graeme Bailey, Business
Micros’ managing director,
said: “The potential for
Touch is massive so we’re
making sure we have the right
team in place to support the
new system, without
neglecting all those
customers who are still using
our existing products.
“Dave’s a really good fit at
Business Micros and shares
our customer-focused culture
and supportive ethos.”
Justin Hunter has officially joined AluK
as the new managing director. With a
long and successful career in aluminium
systems, he brings a huge amount of
industry experience to the role.
According to Justin, his immediate
priority is to ensure that AluK continues
its phased return to work, ‘protecting
the safety of staff, customers and
partners at every stage’. However, he
says he is also focused on building
relationships with customers and
understanding exactly what they will
need from AluK in the crucial months
ahead.
Justin commented: “AluK is already
operating safely and efficiently in a
Covid19
secure environment and
getting the additional support right to
passing on what we have learnt to
those customers, so that we strengthen
customers. What’s important now is
our partnerships with them and use our

“In terms of supply, our aim is for
business as usual, but we will continue
to be flexible in our approach and adapt
our operations in line with the shape of
the recovery and growing demand.”
He added: “AluK is a fantastic
business with a great team in place and I
am really excited to be finally on board.
These are challenging times of course,
but we are in a very strong market
position.
"The Coronavirus crisis hasn’t
impacted our ongoing product
development programme and, with the
ongoing backing of the AluK Group,
we will also be rolling out some market
leading customer service innovations
during the course of this year.”
GMF founder and chairman, Gary
Morton, has joined the Board of

the Board of Trustees. Over the past
years, GM Fundraising has raised nearly

Hospices and I’ve got to know everyone
at the charity very well. I am looking
forward to a new opportunity to see
things from the other side and learning
more about the internal workings of
such a complex organisation.”
Andy Goldsmith, CEO of Hope
House Children’s Hospices, said: “I
am delighted to welcome Gary to the
Board of Trustees. Gary was appointed
following a rigorous selection process
and from a large field of candidates. In
addition to his fundraising skills, Gary’s
commercial and governance experience
will be a major asset to the charity. Gary
has been a wonderful supporter of the
charity for many years I look forward to
working closely with him in this new role
towards achieving our vision that no one
should face the death of a child alone”.

deliver on some commercially effective
fundraising and grow as a person
by understanding in more detail the
