MODPLAN ADDS
NEW LEKA
SKYLIGHT
Trade fabricator, Modplan,
has added the Leka Systems
Skylight to its portfolio. Heidi
Sachs at Modplan, said: “The
Leka Systems Skylight gives
installers a competitive edge
by providing an innovative
and flexible solution to
bringing natural light into a
conservatory.”
The Leka Systems Skylight
is a fully glazed unit with a
neatly finished surround that
doesn’t need roof bar caps. It
is available in any height and
has a maximum width of
8mm, which offers flexible
alternatives to opening vents.
Heidi commented: “This
takes the aesthetics of
skylights to a whole new level.
They look crisp, clean and
refreshing. When
homeowners compare the
options available to them,
they will be able to see the
clear aesthetic advantages of
the Leka Systems Skylight.”
Heidi also highlighted the
ease of installation of the
product: “Installation is
simple, which saves time and
money on site and helps
installers to increase
productivity and profitability,
which we know are more
important than ever at the
moment.”
Leka has recently been
awarded a patent for its tiled
conservatory warm roof.
Heidi concluded: “We were
the first fabricator to take
Leka Systems products
because we could see how
their innovation could open
up opportunities for our
customers.”
Prefix Systems has launched a new
interactive website for both trade
customers and its clients.
The new website, which is fully
mobile and tablet friendly, has been
developed to reflect Prefix Systems’
growing product portfolio and product
development now supplying a broad
range of conservatory, home living and
glazing solutions.
The new website is said to be the
biggest launch for over three years
with many new features for both trade
customers and consumers.
The new website has been organised
with items split into product groups and
complete collections making it easier for
visitors to find the information they need.
There is also an ‘inspiration section’ for
consumers looking for ideas for home
projects.
Hannah Gilrane, marketing
co-ordinator, commented: “Prefix
may only sell direct to trade but our
customers ultimately sell to consumers
so we wanted our new website to be a
platform they can use too.
“We have used certain colours and
features to encourage consumers to use
our website, incorporated interactive
elements so they can design their own
products or request brochures and
samples. It also allows them to easily
contact us so we can put them in touch
with a registered installer to discuss their
project.
“The new Prefix website is a
content rich platform with easy to use
navigation,” continued Hannah. “Given
our particularly broad product range, it’s
an opportunity for us to support trade
partners with important information,
clearly laid out and all underpinned by
the award-winning service that we offer.”
New features on the website include
information about products, technical
information, trade and consumer
brochures, downloadable order forms
for ease of product ordering, the ability
to request tile and colour samples, online
pricing for aluminium products including
instant pricing for bi-folds, news and
contact information.
Prefix says that it is continuing to make
advances to its new website to make it a
one stop shop its customers.

Alex Hewitt
With the industry currently experiencing
a strong surge in activity from the retail
sector post lockdown, and with online
searches for conservatories and patio
doors at a record high, Ultraframe has
reported a significant uplift in web traffic
and leads.
Alex Hewitt, marketing director at
the Clitheroe based conservatory and
orangery specialist, said that web traffic
from homeowners is up by 8%, and that
leads from the website for Ultra Installers
had also risen by 8%.
“Over the lockdown we helped over
8 customers with our lockdown toolkit
which we developed to help them sell
remotely and build a pipeline,” said Alex.
“No doubt, there are challenging times
ahead for everyone as we all feel the after
effects of the lockdown.
“However, these stats are signs that
homeowners are ready to talk and
our customers can do this safely and
efficiently going forward.”
Ultraframe, which began a phased
re-opening of its factory on May, also
acquired the Global, Celsius and Stratus
roofing products from Aperture Trading
(formerly Synseal) at the beginning of
May.
