Macrowill is inviting

plastic, metal, board, fabric, electronic
and electrical surfaces.

SAS offers hands free solution
Senior Architectural Systems says it is
anticipating an increase in demand for
its automatic aluminium door solutions
as more business and facilities look for
cost-effective ways to help reduce the
spread of COVID-.
In partnership with supply chain
partner, Autodoor Projects UK,
Senior’s aluminium door systems
can be fabricated to utilise innovative
hardware such as wave-activated
touchless entry and exit pads. Other
entrance system options that can
be offered to help building owners
navigate the new COVID- regulations
include the use of facial and thermal
recognition cameras, and peoplecounting
monitors to help manage
occupancy levels.
These solutions are said to be fully
compatible with Senior’s range of
aluminium doors.
Designed to perform up to a
maximum leaf size of ,mm x
,mm and 8Kg, the Pure
Commercial door system can achieve
‘U’ Values as low as . W/m2 K
when calculated as a CEN Standard
door and is able to receive double
or triple glazing from 8-6mm
for maximum thermal and acoustic
performance. The system also features
a range of thresholds and rebates,
including a double rebated low
threshold option.

Britmet says that it started the journey
into the composite slate tile market in
in the bid to create an authentic,
sustainable, lightweight slate.
By January , the development
of the fi rst mould for the LiteSlate
had begun and the machine was
inserted into the UK production plant.
According to Britmet, it accomplished
its goal of perfecting the natural slate
surface by May , ready for the
product launch at the FIT Show NEC.
In summer , the LiteSlate
passed its fi re testing with a BS6-
Fire Rating and new mould designs
started development.
Increasing demand for the
composite slate has caused production
to double – less than a year after the
product launch! By the end of July
, production will have tripled to
produce multiple riven edges and to
give a natural slate effect. These will
be stocked in a ,ft2 premises
in the West Midlands as well as
nationwide stockists.
Over ¤% of the Polymers that
LiteSlate is made from are recycled.
In , Britmet says it will recycle
over one million kilograms of
polypropylene!
It has also expanded the LiteSlate
tile range to seven different colours –
said to be the largest standard colour
range on the UK synthetic slate tile
market.
The LiteSlate includes a -year
weather penetration guarantee.
The Velux Modular Skylights Step
Solution has been awarded the Red
Dot Product Design .
The new Velux Step Solution has a
unique step structure where multiple
rows of skylight modules can be
connected above each other to create
a large glass roof. It is characterised by
a minimalistic design with a 'coherent
and elegant structure' that allows for
thin supporting beams.
“We designed the Velux Step
Solution to offer our customers a
solution with maximum daylight for
larger glazed areas. We have thereby
expanded our product range from
modules installed side by side to this
unique step structure. Our mounting
system connects the modules closer,
and the fl ashings ensure a watertight
solution,” said global R&D director,
Velux Commercial, Erik Kjærgaard.
The new Velux Step Solution is
specifi cally suited to commercial and
public buildings, both new build and
refurbishment.
