Customade sells Bifold Shop

Customade Group has announced that it has completed the sale of Bifold Shop – an established supplier and installer of specialist aluminium doors to the domestic market.

Bifold Shop is said to have been acquired by existing Bifold Shop director, Damon Smith, and Alan and Sally Stanway of JJS Construction. JJS Construction has reportedly been the sub-contract installation partner for Bifold Shop for a number of years.

Customade Group says that it made the decision to sell Bifold Shop, following a strategic review of the group’s operations, and adds that the move will enable it to focus on its core B2B business, supplying to the trade only.

John Adams, customer service director at Customade Group, said: “The £3 million turnover Bifold Shop has grown year on year for the last five years and is now a leading supplier in the B2C market. As a trade sales only group, it was the right time for us to sell this thriving business to allow the new management team to focus more fully on servicing its growing trade customer base. Bifold Shop will now become a trade customer of Customade Group and we are delighted to support the future growth of the business though our ongoing supply agreement.”

Bifold Shop will relocate from Stonehouse in Gloucester to JJS Construction’s premises in Cheltenham. The existing Bifold Shop team are all staying in their current roles.
