Evolve triples foil output

Brian Ennis, Evolve Window Systems' managing director

Evolve Window Systems, an Aluplast customer, has taken advantage of high levels of foiled stock and competitive lead times on bespoke foiling options to win business, as demand for colours and finish continues to rise. The Liverpool-based company, which supplies to retail and trade customers across Merseyside – has enjoyed three consecutive years of growth since switching its PVC system supply to Aluplast.

Brian Ennis, Evolve’s managing director, said: “Disruption with profile supply has been widely reported in the industry, and there have been particular issues with excessively long lead times on foiled product. But we’ve been gaining business on the strength of our colour offering.

“We’ve been approached by customers who have been told by their regular fabricator that they will need to wait as long as eight to 10 weeks for orders of foiled product. We have been able to supply it without those delays.

“In fact, thanks to our partnership with Aluplast, we are able to supply colour options like smooth anthracite grey, on a grey substrate, without compromising lead times at all,” he added. Aluplast’s range of foils now extends to 40 different options. The manufacturing business has maintained a strong supply of popular finishes ‘off the shelf’, with 20-day lead times on bespoke options and a single pricing structure on orders for contrasting finishes on internal and external surfaces.

Aluplast’s range also includes the next-generation Aludec and Woodec finishes. Available across Aluplast’s Ideal 70 and Ideal 4000 systems, plus its Smart-Slide patio door and new flush casement, these have been developed to offer a highly authentic alternative to aluminium and timber.

“The increase in demand for colour has been massive, but thanks to the strength of supply we have from Aluplast, we have tripled our output on foiled product,” said Brian. “When I first started manufacturing, there was no such thing as grey, it was limited to white or Rosewood. Now we have finishes like Woodec and Aludec, they are giving us a real level of exclusivity.”

Ian Cocken, director of sales and marketing, Aluplast, said: “The size of the investment we have made in foiling lines and CNC foiling technology means that we are able to manufacture foiled product to a very high quality but also at scale. That’s enabled us to maintain high levels of stock, ensure competitive lead times on bespoke finishes and give our fabricator customers a competitive edge where demand for colour has never been higher.” For more information, call 01684 273 401, email info@aluplast.co.uk or visit www.aluplast.co.uk.
