Morley doubles IGU capacity

Recent investments by Morley Glass & Glazing have reportedly doubled its production capacity, making it possible to manufacture up to 3,000 sealed units with integral blinds inside per week.

The business, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, specialises in manufacturing Uni-Blind sealed units with ScreenLine integral blinds inside.

It has invested £700,000 in a second IGU production line, which has now been installed at its 50,000ft2 factory in Leeds.

Ian Short, managing director at Morley Glass & Glazing, said: “When we moved into larger premises in 2016 we invested in a 58m long automated sealed unit production line from Best Makina. I’m pleased to say that the quality and efficiency of the equipment was so impressive that we were happy to invest in a second line.

“With the capacity to manufacture up to 3,000 sealed units per week we are confident we will be able to continue to meet customer demand for our popular product range.”

Morley has announced 30% year-on-year growth as demand continues for its Uni-Blind sealed units with ScreenLine blinds inside, and says this growth is set to continue.
