Saint-Gobain Glass (SGG) has created two new roles; head of sales and customer experience manager. Both roles have been filled by internal group promotions.

Richard Wall has been appointed as head of sales after nine years with Saint-Gobain Isover, as well as previous experience at Cemex and Bestobell Valves. Richard’s remit will be to support delivery of the company’s sales strategy, while continuing to build and sustain excellent customer relationships and service levels.

Richard said: “I know from my years with Isover how committed the group is to putting the customer at the heart of everything it does and I am very much looking forward to the challenge of being able to build on that commitment in my new position.”

Martyn Stoakes, as customer experience manager, will support the company’s customer-focused strategy, not only in terms of customer service but also its philosophy of continuous improvement for customer satisfaction and loyalty. Martyn has been with SGG UK for 15 years, most recently as purchasing and logistics manager.

He said of his new role: “Having the opportunity to seek customer insight and help shape what the future looks like in terms of our service ambitions and meeting and exceeding what our customers are looking for is a challenge that I relish.”

Both will report to sales and marketing director, Andy Hyde, who said: “The creation of these new roles has a direct connection to our UK strategy, which will ultimately enable Saint-Gobain Glass to further enhance service levels, develop new business opportunities and put customer satisfaction at the heart of the organisation.”
