Whitesales hires Ashley as contracts manager

Leaders of Whitesales, which incorporates Lareine Engineering, have appointed Ashley Childs as contracts manager. The move has added valuable skills and experience to the business’ projects team, Whitesales’ representatives have said. The role supports customers with projects based in the south of England.

Ashley began his career in the rooflights industry in 2000. He has worked as a contracts manager for the past seven years. But as Ashely began his working life as an installer, he brings knowledge and insight that he says can only be acquired by having fitted the units themselves.

“I personally believe that ex-installers always make the best contracts managers,” said Ashley. “Having done the job myself, I’ve got a really good understanding of what you need for a truly trouble-free installation and what pitfalls to look out for. I’ve worked with all the well-known brands in the industry – and some of the not so well known! – and I know that that you need more than just a quality product to guarantee that a project will be a success.

“The big advantage of the Whitesales incorporating Lareine’s range of rooflights is that, of course, quality is guaranteed. But you also get the reassurance of a large stockholding, fast delivery, design and technical guidance and practical, onsite support from the contracts team. That’s a great combination. I’m really excited to be part of the team.”
