R7 chalks up the whites

R7, part of The Residence Collection, is said to be proving increasingly popular in chalk white and in premium foiled finishes.

According to The Residence Collection, while much of the industry talk is of foiled finishes –something that the company claims to have led the market on for some years – sales of unfoiled windows and doors can’t be ignored, as the chalk white finish of R7 shows.

The Residence Collection adds that this ‘isn’t just another white window’ but a ‘premium proposition’ when paired with period inspired hardware and communicated through the company’s ‘outstanding’ consumer marketing materials.

With a slim sash, R7 is said to have ‘outstanding’ sightlines and the choice of three different glazing beads including decorative, staff and square and with options for triple glazing as standard. The performance of R7 is reportedly down to its 75mm depth of both frame and sash, each harnessing a unique seven-chambered design.

Sarah Hitchings, sales and marketing director of The Residence Collection, commented: “While much of the talk about foils has been inspired by our market leadership, the market for flat white or ‘chalk white’ as we have branded it, takes account for over 50% of the market. The underlying catalyst for this is product differentiation, something that we have in abundance within The Residence Collection.

“R7 is a flush inside and out window that looks exceptional regardless of finish and at 75mm front to back with a seven chambered platform, it’s also a technical pioneer in the segment for energy efficiency and acoustic performance. Both trade and consumer demand are clearly about standing out and with an increased range of support materials, we’re actively helping our customers to exploit these opportunities.”
