Lifting specialist invests in warehouse expansion

4 Cladding Services, the UK’s largest specialist supplier of vacuum lifting equipment for composite roof, wall and glass panels as well as exclusive UK dealer of VIAVAC vacuum lifting equipment, has invested £172,000 in a major warehouse expansion as rising customer demand drives a 25% increase in its fleet since 2025.

This significant investment allowed for new racking, flooring, concrete works and a new shelter to be installed, increasing the company’s storage and operational capacity.

The expansion of 12,700 sq ft is designed to support the growing fleet while also ensuring customers continue to benefit from the availability, quality and reliability of vacuum lifting equipment for roofing, cladding, glass and façade sectors.

Investing in its facilities places 4 Cladding Services in a stronger position to respond quickly and effectively to increasing customer demand, with an emphasis on technical expertise and quality machinery. This approach reflects the company’s values of being customer-focused and ensuring timely product availability.

Tom Spence, Managing Director at 4 Cladding Services, said: “The warehouse expansion marks the latest step in our growth journey, with further investment in expanding our fleet to provide the additional capacity needed to support our customers’ needs. This growth ensures we can continue delivering the high level of services our customers expect. It provides our customers with confidence that we can deliver on our technical knowledge and product availability when they need it most.”

4 Cladding is also investing in its people with recognised training for its entire lifting accessories team, putting all six members of the department through LEEA’s Lifting Accessories (LAC) Diploma. This qualification underpins the testing, inspection, examination and repair/maintenance of lifting accessories.

The benefit of this to customers is significant because it means every enquiry, quote and job now carries the reassurance that the 4 Cladding Services technician on site holds a nationally recognised qualification in the testing, inspection, examination and maintenance of lifting accessories.

This, along with the increased warehouse investment, are key points of differentiation in a competitive market where formal accreditation is not always consistently held across an entire technical team.

As long-standing members of the Hire Association Europe, 4 Cladding Services has been awarded the prestigious SafeHire Certification. This recognises the continued investment in its UK-based hire operation and ongoing commitment to customers.
