‘A’ rated windows help new homes reach Code level 3

total glass‘A’ rated PVC-U windows manufactured and installed by Total Glass have helped new build homes in Great Homer Street, Liverpool, to reach level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.

,The Liverpool based social housing fenestration specialist also supplied French doors for the two, three and four-bedroom properties, built by main contractor Braidwater for its client, social housing provider Liverpool Mutual Homes.

,Constructed to Secured by Design specifications, all 51 homes are heavily insulated in line with LMH’s ‘fabric first’ approach to energy performance. It is intended that the white thermally efficient casement windows will contribute to lower energy bills for tenants.

,Prior to installation, Total Glass provided a sample window for approval. It also supplied spandrel glass as a feature coloured privacy panel in the bottom half of the kitchen windows.
