Clayton’s smartest glass yet

Clayton Glass has recently launched Smartglass Ultra 83, which, the company claims, is the industry’s ‘most advanced solar control, true self-cleaning glass for conservatory roofs and rooflights’.

According to Clayton Glass, Smartglass Ultra 83 is now ‘the benchmark for all round performance’ with warm edge technology, a ‘U’ value of 1.0 W/m2K and a ‘g’ value (solar control) of just 17%, combined with a good level of light transmittance at 25%.

For the last few years, Clayton Glass says Smartglass has been ‘quietly building market share’ and the brand is now ‘widely recognised and respected’, with customers such as Connaught Conservatory Roofs, Prefix Systems and Tailored Roofing Systems. The once 1.4 W/m2K standard for conservatory roof glass has now been replaced by 1.2 W/m2K, with a recent move towards the 1.0 W/m2K Smartglass range, all with self clean and warm edge technology offered as standard.

Jason McCabe, commercial director of Clayton Glass, commented: “Smartglass Ultra 83 is the result of our research into cutting edge products, thanks to our pan-European network of partners. It’s credentials are unsurpassed and it’s the flagship in our Smartglass range which includes Smartglass, Smartglass Plus+ and Smartglass Ultimate.'”
