Kömmerling’s strong growth in the UK continues, as Sherwood Windows celebrates its first anniversary of manufacturing the C70 Gold and PremiLine patio door systems from the premium German brand.
,All the more impressive is the fact that the Nottinghamshire based fabricator was with its previous supplier for 22 years before making the change to Kömmerling.
,Sherwood primarily sells externally beaded windows to the retail market and feels that this window style gives the appearance of the slimmer sightlines often found on timber widows, something that is said to be readily achievable with the C70 Gold system.
,Established in 1991, Sherwood Windows is a small local family business with over 23 years of experience, situated in Newark on the Nottinghamshire/Lincolnshire border. The company claims to offer a unique insurance backed guarantee (IBG), premium product differentiation and says that 79% of its work comes through recommendation.
,Sherwood has also been successful over the last 12 months with the addition of new colours from stock to its Kömmerling product offering, including anthracite grey, cream and Chartwell green. All profiles are extruded with the exclusive Greenline lead-free compound. Where there’s a demand from customers, the company also offers an internally beaded option.
,Colin Leeder, managing director of Sherwood Windows, commented: “It was a big decision to change suppliers after 22 years but Kömmerling has proven to be the premium brand of choice for us. We have built up a close and trusting business relationship which we believe could take us forward for another 22 years.”
,John England, area sales manager for Kömmerling, concluded: “Sherwood Windows has been a valuable addition to our fabricator network and one that understands both the quality of profile and the professional way we do business. We’re looking to further build on our relationship with Colin and his close-knit team.”
