Securefast PLC, the UK manufacturer and distributor of access control and locking products, has acquired Innovative Electronic Technology Ltd. (IET), a UK manufacturer of access control systems incorporating building management software and hardware.
The IET range of products will be manufactured within the Securefast group, enabling pricing to be highly competitive.
“IET adds important new technology products to the current product portfolio offered by the Securefast Group,” said Duncan Crawley, Group managing director. “The acquisition of IET considerably enhances the Group’s position within the access control market and enables Securefast to offer a more versatile British made product to its growing customer base.”
David Sebire, Securefast chairman, said: “IET is an exciting addition to our portfolio, enabling Securefast to incorporate both current reader options and more advanced biometrics via our established Entra access control package.”
The new Entra+ multi-site network system and associated products is expected to generate in excess of £1m of additional sales within the first year.
Innovative Electronic Technology was founded in 1981, by David Leiper. The company is located in Potten End, Berkhamsted, UK.
