AT Precision’s in-house recycling scheme has set new standards for sustainable fenestration, according to a company statement.

The initiative that involves collecting unused or unwanted PVC-U materials from customers and processing them for use in manufacturing its range of recycled thermal reinforcement (RTR) bars.

The RTR bars are made from 100% recycled PVC-U, the statement said. They add strength and increased thermal performance to windows, are quick and easy to install, and boast a minimum lifespan of 35 years, it noted.

AT Precision said one of the key benefits of its RTR bars is their compatibility with all major profile systems.

Extruded alongside the RTR bars is AT Precision’s new EcoLath range of roof laths and joists. The EcoLath range is also made from 100% recycled PVC-U due to the new in-house recycling scheme, the company added.

Michael Hewitt, AT Precision’s sales director, said: “In the face of pressing environmental challenges, we are dedicated as a company towards playing our role in preserving our planet. With our renewed commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, we can continue to add to our product portfolio while doing our part for sustainability.

“As the demand for sustainable building materials continues to grow, we have a commitment to setting an example by prioritising both quality and environmental responsibility within the fenestration industry.”
