Competition is key to success

winkhausThis year’s FIT Show proved a success for exhibitor, Winkhaus UK, with the company’s on-stand competition going down a storm with visitors.

,The competition revolved around the company’s AV2-B lock. Participants were asked to choose a key fob from a box and see if it corresponded to a door fitted with the AV2-B lock. The winners – Rhys Davies, materials manager at IG Doors, Mark Jones, technical sales at Gawler Tapes National Seals, and Laura Morgan, marketing assistant at AluK – were presented with an iPad mini at the show.

,Justin Harris, Winkhaus commercial director, commented: “Our ‘win an iPad mini’ competition was a great way to promote the lock to fabricators and installers and it allowed us to demonstrate first-hand how it works and how easy it is to use. We’d like to congratulate the three winners, and thank everyone who took part in our competition.”

,The hardware specialist showcased a range of modern door locking systems, including battery operated, key turn and auto locks. The Winkhaus stand and products on display were well received by visitors, generating a number of enquiries across the three days.

,“We’ve had very good feedback on our locking systems, and many enquiries coming from fabricators and installers looking for a modern, high-end lock,” said Justin. “The exhibition was a great opportunity to connect with them and explain more about how our range can add value to their products and open up opportunities in new markets.”

,The exhibition also offered the right set of circumstances for the Winkhaus team to catch up with existing customers.

,“It was also fantastic to see Winkhaus locks fitted on products on display on over 20 other stands,” Justin added.
