Composite door market ‘looking good’ for 2015

One of the biggest industry surveys recently completed forecasts strong growth for the composite door market. Researched by Door-Stop in January 2015, 1,020 companies were surveyed, with 78% predicting an increase.

“A sample of over a thousand is large for the industry so the findings are robust,” explained Patrick Dean, Door-Stop’s head of sales and marketing. “The figures suggest very strong growth for the overall market.”

Almost half (45%) of respondents said they were ‘very optimistic’ for composite door sales, with 33% saying 2015 ‘should be better’ than 2014. Only 5% of those surveyed expect worse sales.

“Installers are optimistic – and rightly so,” added Patrick. “Consumer confidence is high and the falling price of oil means people have more disposable income. All this is good news for home improvements generally but composite doors are also benefiting from the continuing decline in PVC panels.

“It’s looking good for the composite door market in 2015.”
