Conference success

evergladeAround 50 customers recently joined Kommerling fabricator, Everglade Windows, for its annual conference.

With seminars on the agenda covering topics such as ‘how to make more money post-recession’, ‘how to sell your customers what they want’ and ‘how to transform your business with social media’, this year’s event was entitled: ‘Upsell in the Upturn’, with a focus on how to make the most of any opportunities arising as we emerge from recession.

Everglade Windows’ sales director, Jay Patel, said: “Customers take a day out from their businesses to attend the conference so we tackle issues that make a real difference to them. While it is good news that the economy has turned a corner, this upturn can bring other stresses and strains on businesses. As sales rise, so can snags and outstanding monies, and that can squeeze cash flow. Historically, it’s a time when companies can falter, so discussing potential strategies to avoid the pitfalls is useful for businesses looking to stay ahead.”

The ‘highly successful’ event, which took place in the aïrzone at Everglade Windows HQ, also saw the launch of AluStar, the new aluminium clad system for Kommerling PVC-U, said to give ‘all the benefits of PVC-U with an external aluminium finish’.

“Added support with Window Designer’s online ordering system for aluminium was also demonstrated,” added Jay. “We are one of the first fabricators to offer this for aluminium and there was a lot of interest at the demonstration.”

After the seminar, customers were able to talk to suppliers including Kommerling, Solidor, GT Products and Balls2 Marketing.

The day concluded with the aïrzone, which features six full sized lift and slide and bi-fold aïr doors, being transformed into a dining room where attendees and the Everglade team shared a delicious buffet of Indian food.
