Epwin group Window Systems Division appoints new MD

Epwin Group Window Systems Division has appointed Clare O’Hara as divisional managing director.  The division comprises Profile 22, Spectus Window Systems, Swish Windows & Doors, PatioMaster and Safeware.

Clare joins the business from Grouphomesafe, where she held the role of Group sales director.  Having been in the industry for nearly 20 years, Clare is described as an ‘experienced and respected individual’, with ‘an enviable commercial understanding of the wider building and construction industry’ thanks in part to her time with SIG and Masco UK Window Group.

“This is a significant step for me personally,” said Clare.  “I’m here to drive important changes for customers and develop new products.  In terms of tonnage we are the industry number one but I want us to be a market leader in every sense of the term; it’s a challenge but one that I relish.

“In the few short months that I’ve been here I have been amazed by the enthusiasm and support of the team, and thrilled by the loyalty of our customers.  And contrary to what some people may think, I am 100% committed to all of our brands.  We like the fact that we have three systems; it gives us flexibility.  We are able to offer our customers choice, a choice between three separate, very distinct systems with a solid product offering.”

Over the next 12 months there will be ‘significant investments’ across all areas of the business; R&D, production, operations and personnel.  This follows the opening of a brand new £1.3m foiling facility, which is said to have increased foiling capacity by 25%.
