Coffee seems to be something most people agree is essential in the morning, and Epwin Window Systems is no exception. But instead of just putting the kettle on for a colleague or two, staff decided to hold a coffee morning fundraiser for Macmillan Cancer Support, for all of its staff.

Colleagues from Epwin brands Profile 22 Systems, Swish Windows & Doors, Spectus Window Systems, PatioMaster and Safeware came out in their droves not only to enjoy a good cup of coffee and a cake but also support a truly good cause.

With locally roasted coffee donated and provided by Kev Burrows of local business Iron & Fire coffee roasting, based in Ironbridge, staff were able to choose from lattes, cappuccinos, Americanos and more. Not only that, staff themselves baked cakes for the event. Ranging from hummingbird cake, sticky brownies and peanut butter cookies to chocolate cheesecake and lemon meringue pie, there were a lot of empty plates left by the end of the morning.

Raising a total of £540.73 for Macmillan, Lucy Forrester, customer service administrator for Epwin Window Systems, said: “It was a fun morning had by all and we decided to do it for that exact reason. It was something everybody could join in on and of course we were able to raise money for a good cause.”
