Fab Frames completes Optima changeover with 500k investment

profile-22-fab-frames-imageEpwin customer, Fab Frames, has recently invested half a million pounds into new machinery. The investment also coincided with the South West trade supplier’s changeover to Profile 22’s new Optima system.

Fab Frames managing director, Mike Taylor, explained: “As we made the changeover we invested heavily into our machinery, with 500k worth of new machines coming over from Germany. These have now spread us over six factories, covering 11,000ft2. Covering every aspect of the fabrication process, from welding to CNC machines, the new machinery has seen our capacity increase to 600 frames per week, and we can now offer a one day turnaround on emergency windows as we are open 24 hours a day, six days a week. We have also increased our employees from 80 to 110, which has been a real boost for the local area.”

Fab Frames supplies PVC-U windows, doors and conservatories to the trade from its Newton Abbot headquarters and is an exclusive supplier of Solidor for the entire South West region. Fully Kitemarked and Secured by Design on its product range, Fab Frames has recently been awarded a further five year contract with its local council.

The company also prides itself on only using the best quality components from reputable suppliers, including Optima. Mike explained: “We were really looking forward to changing over to the Optima system; technology continues to evolve and move at a fast pace, and the new system has addressed the issues that have arisen within the industry. So far it has been very well received, not only by ourselves but installers and homeowners alike. Optima offers a much better quality and precise profile, and it is extremely easy to install.”
