Organisers of the Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk trade exhibitions have reported successful summer shows last week. The Nuremberg-based trade shows in Germany featured 708 exhibitors from 33 countries over four days. Fensterbau focusses on the window, doors and facades markets, while Holz-Handwerk caters to businesses in woodworking and wood processing.

Around 28,500 visitors from more than 100 countries attended last week’s shows, organisers report. The exhibitions spanned 13 halls and were complemented by a supporting programme of topic-specific presentations.

Highlights included short Ted-style talks, product presentations on the digitisation of business processes and a showcase for vocational training colleges. The four-day event also featured a special focus on carbon efficiency (co-organised by ift Rosenheim and NürnbergMesse), the 10th Architecture Window Façade Forum and after-show events that included a 20th anniversary celebration for the Holz-Handwerk team.

Live and on demand
Alongside attendees on site, people who were unable to travel to Nuremberg were offered the opportunity to take part in the Fensterbau Frontale forum online. The programme, as well as guided tours and the “Practical guide to digitisation for craftspeople” forum were recorded for later viewing at live.frontale.de/en.

Feedback
Elke Harreiß, Fensterbau Frontale’s director, said: “Digitalisation, sustainability, the lack of skilled personnel, material shortages and rising energy prices are some of the topical issues that dominated discussions in the halls and various forums. With Fensterbau Frontale in 2024 we will once again be offering our customers the ideal platform to discuss the pressing issues affecting their sector.”

“There was great excitement about this face-to-face reunion in the run-up to the event,” added Stefan Dittrich, director of Holz-Handwerk. “This was reflected by the mood in the halls. We heard a lot of people saying how glad they were to finally be back at a trade fair again.

“Exhibitors particularly praised the quality of the conversations they had as well as the number of visitors in decision-making roles with specific purchasing intentions. Participants used their time to get detailed advice and discuss concrete ideas and projects. We are thrilled by the huge response and the loyal support for the trade fair format.”

Save the date!
Now that the previously postponed trade shows have taken place, Fensterbau Frontale and Holz-Handwerk are next due to take place from 19 to 22 March 2024, at Nuremberg’s exhibition centre. Find out more online at frontale.de/en.
