Five star records success

A Worcestershire-based business, 5 Star Windows and Conservatories, has recorded the best two-month sales period in its history. With retail and trade orders worth nearly £2.5m in February and March, the figure is 125% higher than last year and 53% up on 2019. The company created 20 new jobs as a result of its record success, adding to its 100-strong team.

The firm’s management believes that its combination of new products, proactive marketing campaigns during the pandemic and use of technology to provide the best possible customer experience has been fundamental in supporting growth. The milestone achievement comes as 5 Star celebrates 10 years as a member of the Conservatory Outlet network of retailers.

“Covid-19 has meant that people have been unable to go out or book holidays, so, as a result, we have seen massive pent-up demand to start projects in the home,” explained Richard Manser, 5 Star’s managing director. “This has helped drive unprecedented interest in our products, and our rapidly growing team has been outstanding in helping customers explore their choices whilst making the buying experience as engaging as possible.”

Richard continued: “It is an approach that is certainly working, with the last two months the best in our history. Even with numbers soaring, we have maintained our promise that whilst styles may vary, our standards don’t. We’re proud to still be recommended by 99.3% of people.”

5 Star Windows and Conservatories has established a strong reputation across Worcestershire, the West Midlands and surrounding counties, having installed more than 30,000 windows and completed over 3,000 conservatories, orangeries and lifestyle extensions during the last two decades. The company, which offers an industry-leading 20-year guarantee, has ambitious plans for further expansion in 2021 as it looks extend the success it has enjoyed over the last 12 months. This includes opening a new Birmingham showroom.

Visitors to the new showroom will be able to access a unique 3D design studio, which will provide the opportunity to see ideas brought to life while relaxing and enjoying a coffee. Richard added: “Conservatory Outlet has been really supportive over the last decade, and especially so during the last 12 months, as we’ve all battled through the pandemic. This includes providing a portfolio of products that is continually evolving, with the latest innovations and a marketing team that dovetails with our own to develop new campaigns, brochures and other materials. Its nationwide buying power also enables us to offer our own customers exceptional value for money.”

Greg Kane, chief executive of Conservatory Outlet, concluded: “5 Star is a fantastic example of a business that has met the challenges of Covid-19 head-on and recorded some fantastic results despite all of the pressures. That’s the way Richard and the team have built the business, and we’re delighted to see the progress they are making with record sales, the additional showroom in Birmingham, a newly enhanced trade counter and a sales and training academy at its Kidderminster HQ.” For more about the business, visit www.5starwindows.co.uk or follow 5 Star Windows on Facebook and Instagram.
