Officially unveiled at this year’s FIT Show, where it is said to have generated a huge amount of interest, the Window Lift is designed to alleviate the risk of strain or injury to any installer carrying heavy windows through a house and up the stairs.
,Kieran Costello Jnr, sales and marketing manager at GlassParts.co.uk, explained: “According to the Health & Safety Executive, around 1.6 million working days were lost between 2012 and 2013 to handling injuries, the majority of which were sustained through heavy lifting and carrying. With substantial profile and the potential for more triple glazing, windows are getting heavier than ever before, so we felt it was important to offer our installer customers a safe alternative to manual lifting of heavy windows.”
,The vacuum lifter is a dual circuit device which meets all the CE norms for lifting glass on construction sites. It is fast to setup and will safely lift a window of 200kg up to 9.5m high. This means the installer no longer needs to carry the window through the house as all the lifting is done from outside. The Window Lift can be carried in one hand for maximum portability and the standing device can extend from 5m to 9m, so can easily be transported on a roof rack.
