As customers continue to place increasing emphasis on energy efficiency in their windows and doors, Kömmerling can offer its customers a built-in solution with flexibility for both double and triple glazing within its Kömmerling 76 system.
Gareth Parton, Kömmerling sales and marketing Director, explained: “There has been so much speculation about the future of triple glazing over the years, but the truth is no one really knows what will happen next. What we do know is that energy efficiency continues to climb the list of priorities for consumers, and they are more determined to protect themselves from future fuel price fluctuations with high performance glazing. This means more people will be looking at triple glazing, but that is not to say that demand will shift overnight. That is why we have designed flexibility into our Kömmerling 76 system.
“The Kömmerling 76 system is an established range of products that have undergone extensive research and development to consistently improve performance. They cater for double glazing and triple glazing or special functional glass in thicknesses up to 48mm where required, because the system’s overall window design means it is more balanced with better load distribution.
“Each aspect of the Kömmerling 76 system has been carefully designed with energy saving in mind, including the profile’s heat insulating properties, optional centre seal gasket, the insulating glass with edge sealant, and the wall fixings.
“In addition to its energy saving properties, the Kömmerling 76 system offers improved noise attenuation thanks to its innovative profile sealing technology, as well as the flexibility it offers in its ability to house sound insulating double or triple glazing. Its clever six chamber design and engineered features also make it ideal for large openings and big expanses of glass.”
Gareth continued: “The Kömmerling 76 system is available in casement and flush sash styles as well as tilt and turn, to suit all design choices. The casement option can achieve a U-Value of 1.2W/m2K in a double-glazed window and 0.78 W/m2K in a triple glazed window. The Kömmerling 76 tilt and turn window meanwhile utilises several cutting-edge technologies, including re-engineered profiles for Passive House applications and the pioneering poCoverTec surface finish. And the Kömmerling Flush Sash range comes with heritage features including butt hinges and a dedicated face fix Georgian bar. An optional centre seal gives the Flush Sash option outstanding performance credentials against 70mm systems in the same style and elevates installers above the competition.
“Installers always need support from their suppliers, but while they are working harder than ever to generate and convert much coveted leads, they need suppliers that can take the initiative and invest in technically better products that offer flexibility. We are already designing and improving products that we know are ahead of tomorrow’s trends so that our installers can say yes to every project with confidence, today.”
