Marathon effort

Emplas national sales manager, Jody Vincent, has completed the London Marathon to raise more than £3,500 for Pancreatic Cancer UK.

Jody completed the gruelling 26-mile course through the streets of the capital in a highly respectable five hours and three minutes.

He said he decided to take on this year’s following the death of his late uncle, Peter Wright, who died following a battle with pancreatic cancer on Christmas Eve last year.

Jody said: “It was hard work and my knees are paying for it now but that’s nothing compared to what Peter and thousands of other pancreatic cancer suffers go through in the UK every day. The donation fund is still open and I would just like anyone who can, to make a donation to funding research and hopefully a cure, for this horrible disease.”

If you would like to make a donation to Jody’s campaign to raise funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK, you can do so by going to http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/giving/ and searching for Jody’s page.
