Office expansion for Hodgson Sealants

Beverley-based Hodgson Sealants has completed a two-storey office expansion programme, to cope with current growth and as part of ambitious expansion plans for its future in the sealants sector.

With a customer base in the trade and commercial sectors, Hodgson Sealants says it has grown to become the UK’s largest independent manufacturer of sealants and related products. Established in 1968 by Peter Hodgson, the company celebrated its 50th anniversary last year and still remains a family-based business.

The new head office facility is said to include an ‘expansive’ reception area, spacious board room, meeting rooms, expanded office space for the commercial departments and canteen facilities to support the workforce. There is also further space allocated to the further growth in the business, which is reported to be a keen investor in the local labour force, which has grown by 40% in the last five years.

The company exhibited at this year’s FIT Show where it launched its new ‘next generation’ hybrid Hy-Spec 25 product, a new type of sealant that is also paintable.

Charles Hodgson, managing director of Hodgson Sealants, commented: “The new office expansion supports our current programme of work and will help facilitate further growth in the business. This is great news for the existing workforce and for the local community, as we look to recruit further staff within a business environment that’s based on true family values.”
