Origin of the species

origin‘Origin, a new species of door’ made its TV debut on Sunday 1 June, during Dream Homes on Sky TV. Origin, a leading manufacturer of folding sliding doors, will be sponsoring the channel for three months, as part of the brand’s biggest television ad campaign to date.

,The campaign, which will be aired for the first time on Sky channel 246 and Virgin 265, depicts the origin and evolution of the door, using 10-second comical sketches, each showing how doors have progressed from the dark ages through to modern times.

,The action flits between a Neanderthal and modern-day couple, with sweeping panoramic shots of the Origin bi-folding door.

,Neil Ginger, CEO at Origin, said: “We wanted to show the origin of the door and innovation at its best – demonstrating our engineering prowess and illustrating how bi-folding doors can enhance any property, giving people more ways to love and enjoy their home. By sponsoring Dream Homes, we hope to capture people’s imaginations and significantly raise awareness of the Origin brand amongst key consumer audiences.”

,This will be the second TV campaign for the brand, which has previously advertised on UKTV Home Channel.
