Yelken – a Turkish PVC-U, aluminium and security systems company – was promoted for the first time at the Fit Show trade exhibition this year, and leaders of the business have reported having a positive experience. Representatives of Yelken were hosted on the People in Glazing Society (Pigs)’s stand: the Pigs Pavilion.
“It was a good opportunity to show the range of products we have on offer,” said Vladyslav Vasylenko, international business development executive for Yelken at the Fit Show. “We already work with a few companies in the UK, but on the hardware side rather than our window and door systems. So it was good to show the additional products we have to offer.
“Fabricators looking for an alternative PVC-U or aluminium system to differentiate themselves can get the benefits of working with an international company with 65 years of experience.
“We were able to meet a lot of people, and the Pigs Pavilion was a very popular place to be. The next step is to build on the relationships we have started with fabricators.
“We believe that going to Fit Show was a great start for connection with as many people in the industry as possible. Interested fabricators should come and see the manufacturing facilities from our 24,000m² headquarters in Istanbul, as part of our commitment to create a suite of products tested for the UK market.”
Representatives of Yelken gave a presentation on the first day of the Fit Show, and demonstrated the firm’s available window and door systems in both PVC-U and aluminium, as well as the company’s hardware. This was reportedly well received by Fit Show visitors. The Yelken team at Fit consisted of UK-based Vladyslav, alongside Ogun Bilim, Yelken’s business development executive, and Fatih Sari.
