Kolorplas has reported increasing demand for its specialist spray-painting service as architects exploit PVC-U foiling technologies to deliver an aesthetic match to aluminium.
,Offering a dedicated trade spray-painting service in any RAL colour, including a full range of component painting, Kolorplas was launched by Emplas in 2012.
,The trade fabricator said that it had seen growing demand from fabricators and installers supplying the commercial sector for colour matched ancillary products, with demand greatest for greys.
,Emplas’ Mike Crewdson said: “We have seen significant growth in colour and woodgrain sales this year across the board, with growing exploitation of foiling technologies by architects and specifiers. But we’re seeing growth in the orders for grey and anthracite grey above anything else, as developers and homeowners exploit the aesthetic that it delivers to replicate aluminium at far lower cost.
,”The importance of colour in the PVC-U second time replacement market can’t be over-estimated. The economy is in recovery but there is still often a gap between the aspirations of the end user and budget. Use of coloured PVC-U to deliver an architectural aesthetic at lower cost, narrows that divide.”
